New Omega x Swatch timepiece, the Mission to Earthphase – Moonshine Gold, set to debut on October 7
The Hunter’s Moon, which typically follows the Harvest Moon each autumn, usually appears in October or November. As the second full moon of the season, it rises around sunset and remains bright for several consecutive nights. According to astronomical data, this year’s Hunter’s Moon is expected to appear on October 6 or 7.
Coinciding with the arrival of the Hunter’s Moon, the MoonSwatch perfectly aligns with its lunar inspiration. Continuing its cosmic-themed design, the moon phase display is reimagined—one of the moon’s rotations now features a depiction of a hand pointing toward the wearer. The Mission to Earthphase – Moonshine Gold watch will be available at select Swatch boutiques worldwide from October 7, during the full Hunter’s Moon, until the new moon on October 21.
The new Mission to Earthphase – Moonshine Gold watch once again features the same starry dial design as previous editions, with the moon phase display adorned in OMEGA’s signature Moonshine™ Gold and decorated with playful Snoopy-themed illustrations.
Like all models in the Bioceramic MoonSwatch collection, this version is crafted from Swatch’s patented Bioceramic material—a unique blend of ceramic and biosourced elements derived from castor oil. The case is presented in a distinctive deep navy blue tone, evoking the depth and mystery of space while highlighting the collaboration’s fusion of innovation, storytelling, and craftsmanship.
The new timepiece also incorporates many of Omega’s iconic Speedmaster Moonwatch design signatures, including the asymmetrical case and the famous “Dot over 90” tachymeter bezel. Both the dial and crown are embossed with the Omega and Swatch logos, while the caseback is engraved with the mission statement “I Beat Everybody.”
The battery cover is playfully designed with a cartoon illustration of Earth, echoing the model’s “Mission to Earth” theme. Completing the design, the deep navy Velcro strap enhances the watch’s authentic space-inspired aesthetic—an homage to the traditional timepieces worn by astronauts.
